Overview
Recombinant Carbonic Anhydrase 9 Antibody / CA9 is an antibody targeting Carbonic. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: rPN-15. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Carbonic.
- Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human CA9 protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant Carbonic Anhydrase 9 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell membrane, Nucleus.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
In normal kidney, CA9 is localized along the brush border of the pars convoluta and pars recta segments of the proximal tubule, as well as focally along the luminal surface of Bowman's capsule adjoining the outgoing proximal tubule. Reportedly, CA9 is expressed by 93% of primary and 84% of metastatic renal cell carcinomas.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
