Overview
Recombinant CD171 Antibody / NCAM-L1 / L1CAM is an antibody targeting CD171. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: L1CAM/9267R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: CD171.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fragment (within amino acids 600-900) of human L1CAM protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinan….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm, Cell membrane.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
L1 (L1 cell adhesion molecule) also known as CAML1, CD171, and HSAS is an adhesion molecule which plays an important role in the nervous system development, including neuronal migration and differentiation. Mutations in the gene cause three X-linked neurological syndromes known by the acronym CRASH (corpus callosum hypoplasia, retardation, aphasia, spastic paraplegia and hydrocephalus).
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
