Overview
Recombinant CD54 Antibody / ICAM-1 is an antibody targeting CD54. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: ICAM1/9379R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: CD54.
- Immunogen: IL-1B activated human vascular endothelial cells expressing ICAM-1/CD54 protein were used as the immunogen for the reco….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell Surface,.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Recognizes an 85-115kDa protein (variation with cell type), identified as intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM-1), also called CD54. It has 7 potential N-linked glycosylation sites. ICAM-1/CD54 is a single chain glycoprotein of Ig supergene family, present on unstimulated endothelial cells (EC) and on a variety of other cell types including activated fibroblasts, EC, macrophages, and lymphocytes.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
