Scientific Background
E.coli Beta-Glucuronidase/Uida/Beta-Gus Protein — also known as Beta-glucuronidase; GUS; uidA — Beta-D-glucuronidase from E.coli is a highly specific enzyme in hydrolyzing glucuronides. Beta-D-glucuronidase (GLUase) activity can be measured as the rate of production of fluorescent methylumbelliferone (MU), resulting from the hydrolysis of the substrate 4-methylumbelliferyl-β-d-glucuronide (MUGLU), which is an effective and rapid method for detection and verification of E. coli in food, water, and environmental samples. High purity recombinant beta-Glucuronidase is used in research, biochemical enzyme assays and in vitro diagnostic analysis, detecting a wide range of drugs such as opioids
Research into E.coli Beta-Glucuronidase/Uida/Beta-Gus Protein supports investigations in cellular signaling and fundamental cell biology, with implications for cell signaling pathways.
Product Description
E. coli (Prokaryotic)N-His
Produced in E. coli (Prokaryotic), yielding a high-purity non-glycosylated form suitable for structural and biochemical applications.
The N-His enables single-step affinity purification and can also serve as a handle for direct detection using anti-tag antibodies without target-specific reagents.
Expression region: Met1-Gln603.

This protein is produced in E. coli (prokaryotic). E. coli expression gives high yield without glycosylation — verify that your assay tolerates non-glycosylated protein.
Purity: > 95% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE., confirmed by reducing SDS-PAGE. Endotoxin level: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method., measured by LAL assay — critical for cell-based studies. Identity is verified by peptide mapping or N-terminal sequencing on request.
Yes — biological activity is confirmed per lot. Activity data: Not validated for activity. Run a titration in your own system to establish optimal working concentration before committing all samples.
Reconstitution: Not Applicable. Storage: Store at < -20°C, stable for 6 months. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles.. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw — each cycle risks partial denaturation.
This protein is validated for ELISA, Functional Assay (In Vitro). It is commonly used as an ELISA standard, binding partner in SPR/BLI, or stimulant in cell-based functional assays. Validate performance in your specific format before use in critical experiments.
