Overview
Recombinant EBV Antibody / Epstein-Barr Virus is an antibody targeting EBV. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: EBV/9620R. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: EBV.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fusion protein containing the sequence of bacterial beta-galactosidase and the carboxyl half of EBV-encod….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
This antibody is specific to 60kDa latent membrane protein (LMP-1) encoded by the BNLF1 gene of the EBV. This antibody stains strongly with EBV-positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis. EBV, also designated human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4), is a member of the herpesvirus family and is one of the most common human viruses.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
