Overview
Recombinant KRT18 Antibody / Cytokeratin 18 is an antibody targeting KRT18. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: rKRT18/7299. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: KRT18.
- Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant KRT18 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
This mAb reacts with a wide variety of simple epithelia. It does not react with stratified squamous epithelia. It reacts with epithelial tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, lung, breast, pancreas, ovary, and thyroid. Cytokeratin 18, which belongs to the type A (acidic) subfamily of low molecular weight keratins, exists in combination with cytokeratin 8.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
