Overview
Recombinant KRT20 Antibody / Cytokeratin 20 is an antibody targeting KRT20. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: KRT20/4380R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: KRT20.
- Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 324 424 was used as the immunogen for the recombinant KRT20 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
This MAb recognizes an intermediate filament protein of 46kDa, identified as CK20 (KRT20). KRT20 is abundantly expressed in goblet cells and enterocytes of the gastrointestinal tract. It is a useful marker of pancreatic and colorectal cancer. KRT20 is expressed under normal, hyperplastic and neoplastic conditions. It has been detected in adenocarcinomas of the colon, stomachand biliary tract.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
