Overview
Recombinant Survivin Antibody / BIRC5 is an antibody targeting Survivin. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: BIRC5/8936R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P, WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Survivin.
- Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 1-100) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
The baculovirus protein p35 inhibits virally induced apoptosis of invertebrate and mammalian cells and may function to impair the clearing of virally infected cells by the host s immune system. This is accomplished at least in part by its ability to block both TNF- and FAS-mediated apoptosis through the inhibition of the ICE family of serine proteases.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
