Overview
Recombinant Ubiquitin Antibody is an antibody targeting Ubiquitin. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: rUBB/9476. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P, WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Ubiquitin.
- Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein from human Ubiquitin protein (within amino acids 1-119) was used as the immunogen for the….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell membrane, cytoplasmic, nuclear.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Ubiquitin is a highly conserved and plays an essential role in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. In ubiquitination process, it is first activated by forming a thiol-ester complex with the activation component E1, which is then transferred to ubiquitin-carrier protein E2, followed by to ubiquitin ligase E3 for final delivery to epsilon-NH2 of the target protein lysine residue.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
