Product Overview
Relaxed Plasmid DNA is a covalently closed circular plasmid DNA supplied as the substrate for DNA supercoiling reactions. In this reaction, DNA gyrase uses ATP to convert relaxed circular DNA into negatively supercoiled DNA.
Relaxed and supercoiled DNA can be told apart by agarose gel electrophoresis or, in a 96-well format, with a DNA topology dye such as the ProFoldin H19 Dye, whose fluorescence differs between the two DNA forms.
