Same performance as competing brands, better pricing!

RNaseOFF Ribonuclease Inhibitor is an advanced enzyme designed to provide superior protection for RNA in sensitive experiments. Specifically engineered to inhibit common ribonucleases (RNases), including RNase A, B, and C, it offers high-affinity protection against potential RNase contamination. This makes RNaseOFF an invaluable additive in PCR and RT-PCR applications, ensuring that RNA remains intact without inhibiting polymerase activity. Unlike traditional human RNase inhibitors, RNaseOFF is more resistant to oxidation, offering enhanced stability even under challenging conditions. It is particularly stable at low concentrations of DTT (< 1 mM), making it the optimal choice for experiments requiring minimal reducing agents. With its ability to safeguard RNA while maintaining polymerase efficiency, RNaseOFF is the ideal solution for achieving reliable, high-quality results in your research.

  • High stability at 70ºC
  • High resistance to oxidation
  • No downstream inhibition
  • 60% more affordable compared to competing brands at <$0.02/U
  • Larger size available (Cat. No. G591)

Customer Testimonial

"My lab has been using RiboLock RNase inhibitor from Fermentas for several years. We have tried Sample-G138 and cross-compared efficiency of cDNA synthesis and qPCR after immunoprecipitation of RNA-binding proteins using HeLa cell lysates supplemented with each RNase inhibitor. We do not see gross difference of Ct values from cDNA samples synthesized from immunoprecipitates samples."

Specification Value
Enzyme Type RNase Inhibitor
Format Enzyme Only
RNase Specificity RNase A, B, C
Storage Conditions Store at -20°C.

This ribonuclease inhibitor protects against RNase A, B, C. It binds RNase with sub-picomolar affinity (Ki ≈10⁻¹⁴ M) and is active across pH 5.5–8.5. Include DTT or β-mercaptoethanol (1–5 mM) to maintain the inhibitor in its reduced, active form.

Recommended usage is 1–4 U/µL of reaction volume. For co-immunoprecipitation of RNA-binding proteins or sensitive single-cell applications, 4–8 U/µL is advised to ensure complete RNase suppression.
