Overview

RXR gamma Antibody / RXRG is an antibody targeting RXR. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-RXRG-5H4. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, FACS, IF.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: RXR.
  • Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human RXRG protein was used as the immunogen for the RXR gamma antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nucleus.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

Two families of retinoid receptors, RARs and RXRs, have been identified. Retinoic acid receptors (RARs) include RARa, RARb and RARg, each of which have a high affinity for all trans-retinoic acids and belong to the same class of nuclear transcription factors as thyroid hormone receptors, vitamin D3 receptor and ecdysone receptor.

Common research applications

  • IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
