Compound Overview
SARS-CoV-2-IN-29 disodium is a two-armed diphosphate ester with a benzene-based molecular tweezer system. It shows antiviral activity with IC50 values of 1.5 μM against SARS-CoV-2 and 1.6 μM against spike pseudoparticle transduction, and it induces liposomal membrane disruption with an EC50 of 3.0 μM[1]. Its molecular formula is C58H46Na2O8P2, with a molecular weight of 978.91 g/mol.

In Vitro
SARS-CoV-2-IN-29 (CP024) disodium inhibits SARS-CoV-2 (IC50=1.6 μM) and has low cytotoxicity (Caco2 cells, CC50=77.4 μM)[1]. At 0-15 μM for 2 h, it inactivates SARS-CoV-2 and inhibits infection, with an IC50 value of 1.5 μM[1]. It also suppresses various enveloped viruses, with IC50s of 2.1 μM against influenza A virus (IAV), 2.1 μM against measles virus (MeV), and 1.8 μM against herpes simplex viruses (HSV-1), respectively[1].
