Product Overview
The Selective Tissue Staining Fluorescence Dye is a highly positively charged, polyamine-based fluorescent dye. It binds negatively charged molecules such as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), negatively charged polysaccharides that are common in mammalian tissues, and can be used for tissue staining in histology and to visualize negatively charged surfaces of cells, tissues or particles.
The dye binds tightly, which allows extensive washing for a low background. It has been used to stain human placenta, umbilical cord and heart, and rat colon, skin and liver. Fluorescence is read at 535 nm with excitation at 485 nm.
