SR 3576 is a highly potent and selective inhibitor of c-Jun N-terminal kinase 3 (JNK3), a kinase predominantly expressed in the brain. JNK3 is involved in stress-induced neuronal apoptosis and is implicated in the pathogenesis of several neurodegenerative diseases. By inhibiting JNK3, SR 3576 offers a targeted approach to reduce neuronal death and has potential therapeutic value in conditions such as stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and traumatic brain injury.
