Stattic

Stattic is a non-peptidic small molecule inhibitor of the STAT3 signaling pathway. In neuroscience, STAT3 is implicated in neuroinflammation, gliosis, and neuronal survival. Stattic inhibits STAT3 dimerization and DNA binding, thereby modulating transcriptional responses to cytokines and growth factors. This makes it a useful tool in neurodegenerative disease research, particularly in models of multiple sclerosis, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. By targeting STAT3, Stattic helps elucidate the role of JAK/STAT signaling in neural repair and inflammation.
