SU 4312 is a potent and selective inhibitor of VEGFR and PDGFR tyrosine kinases, including VEGFR-2 (Flk-1/KDR). In neurodegenerative disease research, SU 4312 is used to investigate the role of VEGF and PDGF signaling in neurovascular remodeling, glial activation, and neuronal survival. Its ability to modulate angiogenic and inflammatory pathways makes it a valuable tool for studying the vascular component of neurodegeneration and brain repair mechanisms.
