Product Overview
Supercoiled Plasmid DNA is a covalently closed circular plasmid DNA supplied as the substrate for DNA relaxation reactions. In this reaction, DNA topoisomerases such as topoisomerase I and topoisomerase IV convert supercoiled DNA into relaxed DNA.
Relaxed and supercoiled DNA can be told apart by agarose gel electrophoresis or, in a 96-well format, with a DNA topology dye such as the ProFoldin H19 Dye, whose fluorescence differs between the two DNA forms.
