Overview

TARDBP Antibody / TAR DNA binding protein / TDP43 is an antibody targeting TARDBP. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: TARDP/349. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, WB, IHC-P.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: TARDBP.
  • Immunogen: A recombinant fragment from the human protein (within amino acids 200-414) was used as the immunogen for the TARDBP ant….
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nucleus.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

TARDBP (TAR DNA binding protein), also known as TDP-43, is a nuclear protein that contains two RRM (RNA recognition motif) domains. Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels found in placenta, lung, pancreas, spleen and genital tract, TARDBP functions as a DNA-binding protein and specifically binds to the TAR DNA sequence motifs of HIV.

Common research applications

  • WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
  • IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
