Overview
TBXAS1 Antibody / Thromboxane-A synthase 1 is an antibody targeting TBXAS1. Host: Rabbit. Polyclonal. Format: Lyophilized. Applications: WB, ICC/IF, ELISA.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: TBXAS1.
- Immunogen: E.coli-derived human TBXAS1 recombinant protein (Position: Q157-R533) was used as the immunogen for the TBXAS1 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
TBXAS1 antibody detects Thromboxane-A synthase 1, encoded by the TBXAS1 gene on chromosome 7q34. TBXAS1 antibody is used to study this cytochrome P450 enzyme responsible for producing thromboxane A2 from prostaglandin H2. Thromboxane A2 is a potent lipid mediator with strong effects on platelet aggregation, vasoconstriction, and hemostasis.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
