Overview
TIM-3 Antibody / HAVCR2 is an antibody targeting TIM-3. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: TIM3/6863R. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: TIM-3.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fragment of human TIM3 protein (within amino acids 1-200) was used as the immunogen for the TIM-3 antibod….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell Surface.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
TIMs are type I transmembrane glycoproteins with one Ig-like V-type domain and a Ser/Thr-rich mucin stalk. TIM-3 is expressed on the surface of effector T cells (CD4+ Th1 and CD8+ Tc1) but not on helper T cells (CD4+ Th2 and CD8+ Tc2). In chronic inflammation, autoimmune disorders, and some cancers, TIM-3 is upregulated on several other hematopoietic cell types.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
