Safety
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures, and not for human or veterinary use. Handle in accordance with your institution's chemical hygiene plan.
In Vitro
Treatment with Tirandamycin A at 60 μM produces slightly stronger inhibition: growth of Entamoeba histolytica HM-1:IMSS falls by 84.2%, and growth of Entamoeba histolytica Col falls by 64.8%. Bacterial RNA polymerase chain initiation and elongation are inhibited by Tirandamycin A, which does not act on mammalian polymerases[1].
