Product Overview
This is a research-grade recombinant antibody that reproduces the antigen-binding specificity of the reference therapeutic Trastuzumab. Like the reference molecule, it binds HER2 subdomain IV, inhibits HER2 signaling and mediates ADCC. It is intended for in vitro research use as a binding reagent, functional (blocking/neutralizing) tool, and as a positive control or reference standard in bioanalytical assays.
This product carries the same variable-region specificity as Trastuzumab and therefore targets HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV. It is a research reagent and is not the licensed therapeutic product.
Target & Mechanism
Target antigen: HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV. The molecule binds HER2 subdomain IV, inhibits HER2 signaling and mediates ADCC.
Research Applications
| Application | Notes |
|---|---|
| ELISA (antigen binding) | Use as a binding reagent against HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV; suitable as a capture/detection antibody and as an assay control. |
| Ligand blocking / neutralization | Functional blocking of HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV in biochemical or cell-based assays. |
| Biophysics (SPR / BLI) | Kinetic and affinity characterization of binding to HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV. |
| Flow cytometry | Detection of cell-surface HER2 (ERBB2), domain IV on relevant cell types. |
| PK / ADA assay control | Positive control or reference standard in pharmacokinetic (drug-level) and anti-drug-antibody (immunogenicity) assays for Trastuzumab. |

This antibody has been validated for multiple applications. Always refer to the product datasheet for recommended dilution ranges and appropriate positive control samples for each application type.
Validated reactivity has been confirmed for Human. Cross-reactivity with additional species may exist based on sequence homology but has not been confirmed by the manufacturer. For unlisted species, we recommend running a preliminary validation experiment.
This antibody was raised in Human. For indirect detection (WB, IHC, IF), select an anti-Human secondary antibody that matches the isotype. For direct detection, check the variant selector for conjugated formats. Confirm secondary antibody compatibility before ordering.
Please refer to the product datasheet for detailed immunogen information. This data is available on the manufacturer datasheet linked in the Documents tab.
Please refer to the storage conditions on the product label and datasheet. As a general best practice: upon receipt, aliquot into single-use volumes to minimize freeze-thaw cycling, which can progressively reduce antibody performance and lead to aggregation.
Validated reactivity covers Human samples. Performance can vary across different cell lines and tissue types depending on target antigen expression levels and epitope accessibility. We recommend verifying target expression in your specific model system using a known positive control before proceeding to experimental samples.
