Product Overview

U-Blot® ABL1 (Phospho Tyr245) Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody is a rabbit monoclonal antibody from UcallM Biosciences Inc, raised against ABL1. Recognizes Phospho (Tyr245). It has been validated for Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, ELISA and reacts with Human.

Validated Applications

Target ABL1
Host Rabbit
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone PT1402R
Isotype IgG, Kappa
Conjugate Unconjugated
Reactivity Human
Applications Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, ELISA
Purification Protein A
Specificity ABL1 (Phospho Tyr245) Antibody detects endogenous levels of ABL1 protein only when phosphorylated at Y245.The name of modified sites may be influenced by many factors, such as species (the modified site was not originally found in human samples) and the change of protein sequence (the previous protein sequence is incomplete, and the protein sequence may be prolonged with the development of protein sequencing technology). When naming, we will use the "numbers" in historical reference to keep the sites consistent with the reports. The antibody binds to the following modification sequence (lowercase letters are modification sites):TVyGV
Molecular Weight Calculated: 123 kDa | Observed: 210 kDa
UniProt / Swiss-Prot P00519 (Human) | P00520 (Mouse)

Recommended dilutions: WB 1:2000-1:10000;IF 1:200-1:1000;ELISA 1:5000-1:20000

Immunogen / Antigen

Tyrosine-protein kinase ABL1;Proto-oncogene c-Abl

Reactivity Notes

Confirmed cross-reactivity: Human. Confirm suitability for untested species before use.

Scientific Background

This gene is a protooncogene that encodes a protein tyrosine kinase involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell division, adhesion, differentiation, and response to stress. The activity of the protein is negatively regulated by its SH3 domain, whereby deletion of the region encoding this domain results in an oncogene. The ubiquitously expressed protein has DNA-binding activity that is regulated by CDC2-mediated phosphorylation, suggesting a cell cycle function. This gene has been found fused to a variety of translocation partner genes in various leukemias, most notably the t(9;22) translocation that results in a fusion with the 5' end of the breakpoint cluster region gene (BCR; MIM:151410). Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants, which contain alternative first exons that are spliced to the remaining common exons. [pr
