U-Blot® Pan-2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine Rabbit pAb is a polyclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically recognizes 2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine (Lysine acylation [Lys(K)]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Lysine acylation [Lys(K)] post-translational modification across research applications.
2-Hydroxyisobutyryllysine (Khib) is a novel lysine acylation type of post-translational modification identified on both histone and non-histone proteins. By adding a 2-hydroxyisobutyryl group to lysine residues, Khib participates in the regulation of chromatin structure, gene transcription activation, cellular metabolism, and stress responses. Accumulating evidence indicates that Khib plays critical roles in tumorigenesis, metabolic reprogramming, inflammation, and various disease processes, making it an important target in epigenetic and protein modification research.
