U-Blot® Pan-Fumaryllysine Rabbit pAb is a polyclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically recognizes Fumaryllysine (Lysine fumarylation [Lys(K)]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Lysine fumarylation [Lys(K)] post-translational modification across research applications.
Fumaryllysine (Kfum) is a novel acylation-type post-translational modification occurring on lysine residues of proteins. By covalently attaching a fumaryl group to the side-chain amino group of lysine, this modification alters the charge and structural properties of proteins. Kfum is mainly involved in cellular metabolic regulation, oxidative stress response, and protein function modulation. Fumarylation is associated with multiple disease processes including metabolic disorders, inflammation, and cancer, serving as an important research target in the crosstalk between metabolism and protein modification.
