U-Blot® Phospho-CDC2 (Tyr15) Rabbit mAb is a recombinant monoclonal antibody raised in Rabbit that specifically recognizes Phospho-CDC2 (Tyr15) (Phosphorylation [Tyr15]). It is designed for detection and analysis of the Phosphorylation [Tyr15] post-translational modification across research applications.
CDC2, also known as CDK1, is a pivotal regulatory protein in the cell cycle process. The activity of CDC2 is controlled through multiple steps, including binding to cyclins and phosphorylation at Thr161. Crucially, the dephosphorylation of CDC2 at Thr14 and Tyr15 by the CDC25 phosphatase is a key step in its activation. Conversely, phosphorylation of CDC2 at these same sites by Wee1 and Myt1 kinases inhibits its activity.
