Overview
Zebrafish Aff4 Antibody / AF4/FMR2 family member 4 is an antibody targeting Aff4. Host: Rabbit. Polyclonal. Format: Antigen affinity purified. Applications: WB.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Aff4.
- Immunogen: An E.coli-derived zebrafish Aff4 recombinant protein (amino acids M1-E60) was used as the immunogen for the Zebrafish A….
- Species reactivity: Zebrafish.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
The AFF4 gene encodes a scaffold protein that functions as a core component of the super elongation complex (SEC), which is involved in transcriptional regulation during embryogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the AF4 family of transcription factors involved in leukemia. It is a component of the positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) complex. This gene is mapped to chromosome 5q31.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
