Overview
Zebrafish Ckb Antibody / Ckba / Ckbb / Creatine kinase is an antibody targeting Ckb. Host: Rabbit. Polyclonal. Format: Antigen affinity purified. Applications: WB, IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Ckb.
- Immunogen: An E.coli-derived zebrafish Ckba/b recombinant protein (amino acids K7-K382) was used as the immunogen for the Zebrafis….
- Species reactivity: Zebrafish.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Brain-type creatine kinase also known as CK-BB is a creatine kinase that in humans is encoded by the CKB gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate.
Common research applications
- WB: relative abundance and band pattern assessment using appropriate controls.
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
