ZM447439 is a potent and selective inhibitor of Aurora B kinase, a key regulator of mitosis. In neuroscience, ZM447439 is used to study cell cycle regulation in neural progenitor cells and the role of mitotic kinases in neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration. By inducing mitotic arrest and apoptosis, it provides insights into the mechanisms of neuronal cell cycle re-entry and its contribution to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

Classification: Not a hazardous substance or mixture.

Safety Phrases:

  • S22 - Do not breathe dust.
  • S24/25 - Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • S36/37/39 - Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection.
