Product Overview
The Cellvis 12-well plate has a black frame with a lid and is intended for high resolution imaging, for example confocal microscopy. It is offered with a #1.5 high performance cover glass bottom (0.170 ± 0.005 mm, P12-1.5H-N) or with a tissue culture treated #1.5 glass-like polymer coverslip bottom (0.175 ± 0.010 mm, P12-1.5P).
Cellvis recommends the polymer coverslip format when better cell attachment is needed, and does not recommend it where flatness across the whole plate is critical.

Cellvis lists the cover glass format (P12-1.5H-N) as suitable for all of the techniques below. The polymer coverslip format (P12-1.5P) is listed for the same techniques except Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF), for which it is not suitable.
