Product Overview
Anti-Human PEAR1 Recombinant Antibody (SV001) is a human IgG4 kappa recombinant monoclonal antibody (clone SV001) against PEAR1 (platelet endothelial aggregation receptor 1). It is purified on Protein A/G from cell culture supernatant, supplied unconjugated as a liquid at >95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE, The manufacturer does not specify an endotoxin level for this product.
PEAR1 is a single-pass transmembrane receptor of 1,037 residues. UniProt Q5VY43 places the extracellular region at residues 21–755, carrying one EMI domain and nine EGF-like repeats, with the transmembrane helix at 756–776 and the cytoplasmic tail at 777–1,037. The manufacturer also catalogues the protein under the gene synonym MEGF12 (multiple EGF-like domains protein 12); PEAR1 and MEGF12 are two names for the same protein, not two targets.
PEAR1 is an EGF-repeat-containing receptor that becomes tyrosine-phosphorylated during platelet aggregation and takes part in platelet contact-induced activation, which is why it is studied as a candidate antithrombotic target. PEAR1 is also required for SVEP1-mediated platelet activation through AKT/mTOR signalling, and may act in the early stages of haematopoiesis.

Validated Applications
| Application | Notes |
|---|---|
| ELISA | Manufacturer starting range 1:2,000–1:20,000. |
| Flow Cytometry (FACS) | Listed under bioactivity; no protocol or titre provided. |
| Functional Assay | Listed under bioactivity; no protocol or titre provided. |
The manufacturer provides no validation data or per-application protocols for these listings, so read the table as the set of applications the manufacturer supports rather than as assay-by-assay evidence. Only ELISA carries a dilution range; for the two bioactivity entries, establish working concentrations by titration in your own system. Formats the manufacturer does not list, such as Western blot or immunohistochemistry, are uncharacterised for this clone rather than ruled out.

Immunogen & Antigen
The manufacturer does not disclose the immunogen used to raise clone SV001, nor the residue range or domain the antibody recognises. What it does state is the target, PEAR1, cited against accession Q5VY43. The epitope position is therefore undefined.
This matters for surface work. PEAR1 is a single-pass membrane protein whose ectodomain (residues 21–755) carries the EMI domain, the nine EGF-like repeats and five annotated N-glycosylation sites, while the cytoplasmic tail is the intracellular signalling portion. Because the manufacturer does not say which part of the receptor clone SV001 binds, confirm that it stains intact cells before relying on it for flow cytometry; an epitope in the cytoplasmic tail would need permeabilisation, and a glycan-sensitive ectodomain epitope can behave differently between native receptor and recombinant antigen.
Reactivity Notes
Manufacturer-stated reactivity is human only, and the antibody itself is built on a human IgG4 framework, so "human" here describes both what the antibody is made of and what it binds. Reactivity with PEAR1 from mouse, rat or any other species is not characterised by the manufacturer in either direction; confirm in-house before using the antibody outside human material.
Because the framework is human, an anti-human IgG secondary will also detect immunoglobulin present in a human sample. For human serum, plasma or lysate work, plan the detection step accordingly, and include a target-negative control alongside a known positive.
Safety & Handling
This product is a recombinant antibody purified from cell culture supernatant. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles and aliquot before long-term frozen storage. Handle as a laboratory reagent and consult the SDS before use.
