Product Overview
The B16-F10 line is a highly metastatic murine melanoma, derived from the B16 melanoma that was first established in C57BL/6 mice, and laboratories turn to it routinely as an experimental model in melanoma biology, tumor metastasis, cancer immunology, and work on novel anticancer therapies. Several melanoma-associated antigens are expressed by these cells — tyrosinase and the tyrosinase-related proteins TRP-1 and TRP-2 among them, alongside other tumor-associated antigens — which makes the line a valuable platform for evaluating cancer vaccines, immunotherapies, and gene-based therapeutic approaches. GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for B16-F10 Cells comes tuned to move plasmid DNA into B16-F10 cells efficiently.
