Product Overview
Yaffe and Saxel (1977) generated the C2C12 line by serially passaging, under selection, myoblasts taken from the thigh muscle of C3H mice after a crush injury. Because these cells still differentiate into multinucleated myotubes, they serve broadly as an in vitro system for skeletal muscle development, myogenic differentiation, muscle-specific gene regulation, myosin phosphorylation pathways, and androgen receptor (AR) signaling. GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for C2C12 Cells ships with conditions already tuned for C2C12 myoblasts, so plasmid DNA is delivered efficiently.
