Product Overview
Chemically induced rat glioma gave rise to the C6 line, now among the most heavily used in vitro systems in neurobiology, neuro-oncology, and glioma research. Set against primary neural cells, C6 offers clear benefits: simple culture, robust growth, and ready expansion to large cell numbers. Conventional non-viral gene delivery methods, though, often struggle with C6 cells.
GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for C6 Glioma Cells was tuned to get past that hurdle, and under optimized conditions it moves plasmid DNA into C6 glioma cells at transfection efficiencies above 60%, while cell viabilities stay over 90%.
