Product Overview
Dating to 1970, MCF-7 was established from the pleural effusion of a patient with metastatic breast cancer and is now a thoroughly characterized human breast adenocarcinoma line. It is estrogen receptor-positive (ER+), holds on to much of what marks differentiated mammary epithelium, and turns up constantly in work on breast cancer biology, hormone signaling, gene regulation, and anticancer drug development. For this line, GenJet™ DNA In Vitro Transfection Reagent for MCF-7 Cells comes with its conditions already tuned, so DNA transfection runs efficiently.
