Product Overview

β cells of the pancreas normally put out insulin when blood glucose climbs, then ease off once glucose settles back to baseline. INS cells behave differently: these tumor-derived pancreatic β-cell lines, a common tool for studying insulin secretion and β-cell biology, frequently show insulin secretion that glucose levels fail to hold in check, so release keeps going and glucose concentrations fall abnormally low. GenMute™ siRNA Transfection Reagent for Insulinoma (INS) Cells arrives tuned in advance to deliver siRNA into INS cells efficiently.
