Product Overview
U2OS cells receive siRNA efficiently with GenMute™ siRNA Transfection Reagent for U2OS Cells, a formulation optimized for this line. Established in 1964, U2OS came originally from the tibial bone of a female patient aged 15 and is of human osteosarcoma origin. Its adherent, epithelial-like morphology accompanies broad use in gene function work, DNA damage response, cell cycle regulation, and cancer biology.
Receptors for insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-I) and II (IGF-II) are expressed by U2OS cells, and the line is well characterized for growing and transfecting consistently in vitro.
