Product Overview
An upgrade on PepMute™ Reagent (Cat # SL100566), PepMute™ Plus siRNA & DNA Transfection Reagent owes its improvement to pre-screened hydrophobic amino acids crosslinked onto the peptide backbone. Every amine group along that 36–amino-acid backbone has been modified with hydrophobic amino acids, drawing on SignaGen's proprietary pH-Dependent Conformational Change (PDCC) technology. Self-assembly while the transfection complex forms follows from this design, yielding what SignaGen calls a highly versatile and powerful gene delivery platform.
At 1 nM siRNA, silencing efficiency exceeds 95% across mammalian cell types of many kinds. Single DNA, single siRNA, and co-transfection of DNA together with siRNA have each been validated as efficient and reproducible in various mammalian cells.
