Overview

PureBind Beads are paramagnetic iron oxide microspheres made with a specifically engineered outer-layer. They have optimized silica coating and large surface area, providing efficient kinetics, high sensitivity and high selectivity in isolation of nucleic acid from biological samples. They are specifically designed for isolations that require increased recovery with lower starting volume, such as cfDNA, in both manual and automated applications.

PureBind Beads are automation-compatible superparamagnetic beads designed for DNA and RNA isolation from biological samples including whole blood, swabs, and viral specimens. Using magnetic separation with a lysis–wash–elute workflow, they enable efficient nucleic acid capture without centrifugation or column-based filtration.

Compatible samples include human whole blood (genomic and mitochondrial DNA), swab lysates (buccal, nasopharyngeal), virus-containing samples (DNA/RNA viruses), and cell-free DNA from plasma or serum. See the PureBind Kit product pages for sample-specific protocols.

PureBind Beads are the capture component in several kits: PureBind Blood DNA Isolation Kit, PureBind Swab DNA Isolation Kit, PureBind Viral Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit, and related DNA/RNA isolation workflows. Each kit provides PureBind Beads plus compatible lysis, wash, and elution buffers.

The PureBind Blood DNA Isolation Kit yields approximately 10 µg from 350 µL of whole blood. Actual yields vary by sample quality, storage conditions, and protocol optimization. Eluted DNA is compatible with restriction digestion, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation.

Yes — the magnetic separation workflow with no centrifugation requirement makes PureBind Beads well suited for automation on standard liquid handling platforms with 96-well magnetic plates.
